The importance of your own Boudoir

A boudoir is a woman’s private dressing room or bedroom. The room was used as an elegantly furnished private drawing room to practise embroidery or entertain intimate acquaintances or retire to simply be alone. We believe that every woman, and even man should have a place to retreat, relax, play, even to work or to simply be alone. In our busy world today, our bedrooms, whether we share them with a beloved other or not, are now more important than ever. It is the room where we spend most of our time while we are home. And yet, it is often the room that gets the poorest investment and the least attention and thought. We chat to Debbie hall from the Hall Collection on creating the perfect boudoir.  Debbie is born with the natural ability to make everyone around her as comfortable and happy as possible. Making food and hospitality her life, with formal training as a Cordon Bleu chef, Debbie believes a good plate of food and a good bedroom have similar qualities – each should look really tempting and have delicious textures and fragrances. The Hall Collection was conceived in 2006, when she noticed how little attention people were paying to their bedrooms and sleep. She is convinced that a good nights sleep leads to a good day and inspires her clients to pay as much attention to their bedrooms as they would to any other rooms. Focusing on bespoke ranges, The Hall Collection brings luxury back to the boudoir. Debbie builds relationships with only the best crafts people who produce the finest quality product – from bespoke mattresses and beds made by Swiss Craftsmen to the finest bedroom linens, blankets and quilts woven in Italy. The lack of deep restorative sleep is a problem for many people. Many have realised the importance of spending time investing in the right mattress. The Hall Collection offers “His and Hers” solutions. allowing people of different weights and sleeping needs to enjoy comfort and sleep. The Hall Collection offers bedding in natural fabrics that allow the body to breathe and remain at a constant temperature. They are beautifully dressed in layers of exquisite linens, blankets, pillows, quilts and throws in cashmere, wool and silk. Debbie firmly believes that bedrooms need to be turned into sanctuaries, and we absolutely agree. We all need a special place where we spoil ourselves and get a good night’s rest.
