Sanders gets #inbedwithbloggers and at one with nature

This month’s #inbedwithbloggers display at Sanders South Africa in Salt River was curated by Dylan Thomaz using bbellamy&bbellamy textiles and shows how the simple designs of nature can create a strong message of conservation.  Picture a bed that offers a feeling of being by the sea; one that is in harmony with nature as you hear waves crashing on a distant shore and clouds drift across a blue sky. Created using crisp white bedding from one of Sanders most popular lines as well as bbellamy&bbellamy cushions and backdrop, the environment is perfect for windswept, beach-house concepts. Each cushion is a limited edition artwork and is from a collection using nature as its creative influence. Capturing the coastal sea blues and imagery drawn from wild flower seeds the cushions become a unique and desirable home décor piece. The hand-made textiles, namely the cushions and backdrop, encapsulate the world around us, and were made in the artist’s Muizenberg textile studio as featured in Elle Decoration South Africa’s 2015 pattern book. The creation of pieces using organic fabrics and nature remind us of the fragility of our planet.  Each piece is labour intensive and follows the artist’s strict principles of using natural products which do not harm the environment. The idea behind the display is simple as Thomaz explains, “At my studio in the City I curate and develop exhibitions with artists and designers that explore innovative methods of owning art. With  bbellamy&bbellamy we have developed this range of signed pieces that are accessible, but present a clear message to the consumer. In changing the look in your home be reminded of the environment and buy responsibly. Clients can own covetable art works in this dynamic way.” Using the #inbedwithbloggers platform, Sanders South Africa is collaborating with  bloggers and designers to show innovative bedroom ideas throughout the year. Each participant is invited to use Sanders products and to add their own accessories to create inspirational bedrooms. Clearly, the softer side of German engineering. sanders_in-bed-with-bloggers_dylan-thomaz-2 sanders_in-bed-with-bloggers_dylan-thomaz Visit:, Sanders South Africa 33 Salt River Road, Cape Town Shopping list
