We have the perfect recipe for you! After trying out this chocolate marshmallow mousse recipe that we found on the Make it Wonderful blog site, we have to say that we’re definitely going to be recommending it to all our friends.
The recipe uses marshmallows instead of eggs to create a magnificently light, airy and gelatinous texture that makes this chocolate mousse climb to the top of our list of dessert favourites.
Chocolate Marshmallow Mousse Ingredients:
- 150g marshmallows
- 50g soft butter
- 250g dark chocolate
- 60ml hot water
- 250ml fresh cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla essence

Place the marshmallows, butter, chocolate and water into a medium-sized saucepan and melt ingredients over a medium heat whilst stirring continuously. Set this aside and leave to cool once all ingredients have melted together.
Mix the cream and vanilla essence together with a whisk or electric beater until firm peaks start to form.
Fold the marshmallow chocolate mixture into the whipped cream and ensure the ingredients are blended together thoroughly.
Pour mixture into 4 greased ramekins, and place ramekins in the fridge for approximately 3 hours, or until set.
